Windjammer

A refreshing, Tikified riff on a Buck or Highball from Death & Co Denver
The tropical banana flavor works very well with the funky Jamaican rums and the oak and cinnamon notes in the bourbon while the ginger syrup adds spice to the mix and the lemon adds needed tartness/acidity to balance the drink
1 oz Jamaican Rum (I chose to split mine between a funkier rum (Worthy Park 10 year) and a richer, smoother Jamaican Rum that sees time in Madeira casks (Doctor Bird)
1 oz Bourbon (Overproof or Bottled in Bond options work well here, but can use regular proof expressions too)
.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard)
.25 oz Ginger Syrup (2 volumes granulated sugar to 1 volume fresh ginger juice; blend until mixed well)
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg and a swizzle stick
