A Martini variation with a strawberry accent named for my grandma who has contributed her strawberry blonde hair to 3 generations of my family
The malty Genever and Blanc vermouth enhance the strawberry flavor provided by the bit of liqueur while also working harmoniously with the gin base. The bitters contribute a bit of floral rhubarb and pepper spice
1.5 oz Gin (a bottle that has some citrusy notes and is not overly junipery is probably best)
.5 oz Genever (Dutch Gin with a much more malty flavor profile; Bols is my favorite)
.5 oz Blanc Vermouth (Dolin Blanc/Carpano Bianco)
.25 oz Strawberry Liqueur (Giffard, Massanez)
1 dash Rhubarb Bitters (Crude Apothecary is my favorite)
1 dash Bitter End Moroccan Bitters
Stir with ice, strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist
