Wildest Redhead

A comforting holiday Sour riff from Meaghan Dorman of NYC’s Raines Law Room that tastes like delicious holiday spiced fruitcake in drink form 🥃🍋🍯🍒 The honey, cereal grain, and subtle peat notes from the blend of scotches works nicely with the comforting combination of flavorful honey syrup and bright lemon juice while the allspice liqueur adds a note of baking spices and the float of cherry liqueur adds a hint of fruit to each sip 1.5 oz Blended Scotch (I decided to use 1 oz Great King St Glasgow and .5 oz of a delicious Highland malt blend, but a full 1.5 oz Famous Grouse or other favorite blend will work nicely) .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .5 oz Honey Syrup (3 volumes honey for 1 volume of warm water; stir until honey is fully incorporated) .25 oz Allspice Liqueur (St Elizabeth, Degroff Pimento) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Slowly pour .25 oz Cherry Heering (or other cherry liqueur) over the ice cube so it slowly sinks to the bottom of the drink #happyturkeyday
