White Witch

A refreshing, aromatic Swizzle originally devised by Trader Vic and updated by Ezra Star of Boston’s Drink 🧙🏻‍♀️ The creme de cacao adds a baseline richness to the funky, tropical Overproof Jamaican rum without giving an overt chocolate note while the orange curaçao adds orange and a hint of spice (while drying the drink out a bit more than Cointreau (and being less sweet) while the lime adds a tart zip, the Club Soda lengthens and adds bubbles, and the mint lends a pleasant aroma. Great for a hot day/evening! 1 oz Overproof Jamaican Rum (Wray & Nephew, Rum Fire, etc) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Orange Curaçao (Pierre Ferrand Dry is my favorite) .5 oz Creme de Cacao (Marie Brizard White results in a clearer end product, but Tempus Fugit works well and tastes great in the drink) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and spent limeshell (inverted)
