White Negroni Pina Colada

A refreshing collision of drink worlds from LA bartender Chris Amirault where bittersweet and tropical meet 🍍🥥🍹 The mezcal lends notes of citrus zest and smoke that works nicely with the tropical pineapple (juice) and coconut (liqueur) flavors. The gentian-based Suze adds a nice bittersweet undercurrent and the zippy fresh lemon juice helps integrate the flavors. A dash of Angostura to garnish lends some tropical spice aromas 1 oz Mezcal (Espadin variety) .5 oz Suze (Gentian based aperitif from France with floral aromas, bittersweet flavors, and a brilliant yellow color) .5 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani, Mahina) .75 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice .5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .25 oz Simple Syrup (equal parts sugar and water; stir until dissolved) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks or Mai Tai glass filled with ice.
