Whanau

A tropical beer cocktail that riffs off of Garret Richard’s Ohana (NYC’s Existing Conditions) and the Tiki classic Leilani Volcano The Gin botanicals contrast nicely with the tropical fruit flavors from the banana, pineapple, and coconut while the guava and passionfruit notes in the sour beer work with the lime to bring a refreshing, but interesting tartness 1.5 oz Gin (Less juniper-forward gins like Plymouth or Four Pillars are best) .5 oz Cocchi Americano (White-wine based aperitif with quinine for a bitter, refreshing note) .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard or Tempus Fugit) .25 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani) .25 oz Pineapple Liqueur (Giffard) 2 dashes Lime Bitters Shake with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Top with 2 oz Tropical Kettle Sour Beer (Alvarado St Haole Punch or similar are great). Garnish freshly grated nutmeg
