Tropical Popsicle

A refreshing, fruit-forward Highball riff from San Diego’s excellent Noble Experiment for weekend enjoyment 🏝🍹
The floral and spice notes in the blended Japanese whisky work nicely with juicy bittersweet notes in the aperitivo while the tart yet sweet passionfruit flavor works nicely with the lime and effervescent soda water to boost the refreshing notes in the drink. A delicious afternoon or pre-dinner drink
1.5 oz Blended Japanese Whisky (Suntory Toki works great, St George Baller is another really nice option)
.5 oz Red Bittersweet Aperitivo of Choice (I like Cappelletti for its vanilla notes that work very well with the passionfruit; Noble Experiment uses Aperol)
Fat .5 oz Passionfruit Liqueur (Giffard; use .75 oz if subbing Passionfruit syrup)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice cubes. Top with 2 oz soda water (Passionfruit LaCroix subtly boosts those notes; but plain or other fruit flavors probably work well). Garnish with a lime wheel and swizzle stick
