Toast and Marmalade

An easy-going, yet delicious, variation on a Sour from The Macintosh in Charleston South Carolina that would makes a great brunch cocktail
The orange marmalade, honey (and honey notes in the Drambuie), lemon, and cinnamon/vanilla/spice notes from the bourbon and bitters combine to produce a flavor reminiscent of the drink title
1.5 oz Bourbon (no need to go too fancy, Buffalo Trace, McKenna, Wild Turkey 101, etc all work)
.25 oz Drambuie (Scotch-based honey liqueur)
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Honey Syrup (2 parts honey: 1 part warm water)
1 heaping barspoon (or about a teaspoon) orange marmalade
2 dashes Chocolate Mole Bitters (Bittermens, Scrappy’s, Miracle Mile, etc)
Shake with ice and strain into chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with orange half-moon, spring of thyme (if handy)
