An intriguing Daiquiri riff from Pouring Ribbons with notes of spice and smoke 🌶 The agave base lends notes of earthiness, and citrus zest that play nicely with the distinct tart (yet slightly sweet) tamarind and lime while the Rhubarb amaro and mezcal lens complementary smoke notes. The ghost pepper component of the Caged Heat syrup lends a spicy finish (comes from Chile-infused tequila in Pouring Ribbons spec) 1.5 oz Reposado Tequila (El Tesoro, Arette, etc) .5 oz Mezcal (Espadin variety; if you have regular tamarind syrup; use a Jalapeño-infused tequila in place of this) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Tamarind-Ghost Pepper Syrup (Caged Heat; can make a syrup without the ghost pepper, but see note above for chile-infused tequila to sub) .25 oz Rhubarb amaro (Cappelletti Amaro Sfumato has a nice smoke note that works well here, but Zucca probably subs well) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
