Tiki-Tiki Tom-Tom

A delicious rum Old Fashioned from Thomas Waugh during his days at Death & Co to celebrate National Rum Day The molasses notes in the Aged Rum work very well with the honey notes from the Drambuie and syrup while subtle saffron (from Strega) and dried fruit (Scarlet Ibis) notes enhance the deliciousness of the rum 1.5 oz Aged Rum (El Dorado 12 or 15 work best, but imagine Diplomatico or Real McCoy would sub nicely) .5 oz Aged Trinidadian Rum (Scarlet Ibis here) .5 oz Drambuie (liqueur with scotch base and honey notes) Tsp Strega (Italian Amaro with notes of honey, saffron, subtle bitterness) 1/2 tsp Honey Syrup (2:1) 1 dash Bittercube Blackstrap Bitters (optional addition to reinforce molasses flavor Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube.
