The Undead Gentleman

A refined riff on the classic Zombie from the brains at Smuggler’s Cove in SF
The blend of molasses flavors from the rums along with grapefruit, cinnamon, lime, and clove work together very well and the Absinthe rinse gives a refreshing aroma
1.5 oz Blended, Aged Rum (El Dorado 8 works well, but plenty of other Aged options)
1 oz Dark Overproof Rum (Plantation OFTD is excellent here)
.5 oz Velvet Falernum (clove and lime zest accented liqueur from Barbados)
.5 oz Cinnamon Syrup
.5 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Rinse a chilled coupe with a dash or spritz of Absinthe and set aside. Shake with ice and strain into rinsed coupe. Garnish with lime and grapefruit twists
