The Sweat Descends

A cooling, herbal daiquiri riff that tastes like a boozy cucumber lemonade that is perfect for enjoying on a hot summer day 🥒🍋 The botanical and herb notes in the gin and unaged aquavit marry nicely with the cucumber/lemon/salt/sugar notes in the salted cucumber cordial while the splash of aloe liqueur rounds out the sweetness while also boosting the cucumber flavor and a touch of summer melon. The lime bitters boost the brightness and the mint garnish adds pleasant aroma 1.5 oz Gin (bottle that pairs well with citrus like Plymouth, St George Botanivore, Four Pillars, etc is best) .5 oz unaged aquavit (Krogstad has a nice star anise note that works well here) 1.5 oz Salted Cucumber cordial (blend 1 cucumber with 1C water, 1 tsp kosher salt to blender; blend and strain; add equal volume of granulated sugar and stir/blend until dissolved; add equal volume of lemon to sugar/cucumber/salt mix and stir before storing in fridge) .25 oz Chareau Aloe Vera Liqueur (adds notes of cucumber and melon) 1 dash Scrappy’s Lime Bitters Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
