Low ABV cocktail with nuanced flavors from the Ticonderoga Club in Atlanta
The vermouth and sherry provide comfort, spice, and nuttiness while the coffee liqueur and tonic provide nuance and a bit of bitterness. The orange bitters add a bit more intriguing cardamom and orange peel notes
1.5 oz Sweet Vermouth (quality Spanish varieties or Cocchi Vermouth di Turino work best)
.75 oz Amontillado Sherry
.75 oz Coffee Liqueur (St George NOLA is my favorite)
2 dashes Orange Bitters (Regan’s No 6 have the right balance of spice and orange for this application)
Build drink in glass with a few ice cubes. Top with 1-1.5 oz Tonic Water (Fever Tree or Q are best for drinks) and stir quickly to incorporate. Garnish with a lemon twist
