Swizzle My Nizzle

A tequila-based swizzle with tropical flavors and a bit of spice from Bay Area beast Kevin Diedrich (PCH)
The tart passion fruit syrup and agave add intrigue to the usual citrus notes while the vanilla adds a bit of richness with the Habanero bitters adding a spicy finishing kick
2 oz Blanco Tequila
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz Passion Fruit Syrup (Small Hand Foods makes a great version)
.25 oz Vanilla Syrup (steep a scraped and split vanilla bean with equal parts water and granulated sugar for five minutes)
20-25 drops Bittermens Hellfire Shrub (or two dashes Scrappy’s Firewater Bitters)
Shake with a small chunk of ice and strain into a highball/Collins glass filled with crushed ice. Swizzle with a bar spoon until the outside of the glass is frosted.
Top with 3 dashes Angostura. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint
