Stars Are The Light

An immensely flavorful Boulevardier riff (inspired by excellent NOLA bar Cure’s Midnight, the Stars, and You) that manages to deftly balance bitter, floral, and dried red fruits 💫 The oak and cinnamon notes in the Tennessee whiskey (basically Bourbon after Lincoln County Process used by George Dickel and Jack Daniels) work nicely with the softer floral notes in the chamomile-infused Old Overholt rye to create a flavorful base. The blend of Amaros offer accents of cola and bittersweetness while the dried fruit and chamomile notes in the bitters boost those flavors, the tiny bit of saline solution makes each flavor pop, and the essential oils from the lemon twist lend a pleasant aroma. Incredibly delicious! 1.25 oz Cask Strength Tennessee Whiskey (Dickel Hand Selected Barrel or Jack Daniels Master Distiller) .5 oz Chamomile-infused Old Overholt Rye (1/4 cup chamomile per 750 mL bottle; infuse 90 minutes with occasional stirring before straining) .5 oz Amaro Meletti (Italian amaro with mild bitterness and cola notes) .25 oz Amaro Sibilla (highly bitter Amaro with notes of dried fruit, coffee, and subtle note of honey) 1 dash dried fruit/floral forward bitters (Bitter Cube Bolivar Bitters, Bittermens Burlesque both work great) 5 drops Saline Solution (4 volumes warm water: 1 volume salt; stir until dissolved) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a lemon twist
