Star of Earth

A tropical yet earthy Daiquiri riff from Tiki wizard Martin Cate of SF’s excellent Smuggler’s Cove with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, and spices 🍹🍋🍍 The tropical fruit notes in the pineapple-infused rum and the passionfruit liqueur combine with the bright lemon juice to create an inviting flavor profile while the bittersweet and earthy rhubarb amaro combines with the nutty orgeat and clove-forward Falernum to add some depth from the spice cabinet. Fresh mint and nutmeg as garnish add an inviting aroma that precedes each sip. Another delicious one from the Cove! 1.5 oz Pineapple Rum (Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy is the best on the market; can also infuse your own) .5 oz Rhubarb Amaro (Amaro Sfumato, Bing Zhou both have great bittersweet and tart notes) .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .25 oz Passionfruit Liqueur or Syrup (Giffard for the former, Small Hand Foods or others for the latter) .25 oz Orgeat (Almond Syrup; Small Hand Foods has a nice version) .25 oz Falernum (Rum-based liqueur from Barbados with clove and lime zest notes) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and grated nutmeg #weekendtiki
