A delicious pear-forward fall daiquiri riff 🍐 The flavor from the freshly juiced pear is echoed by the pear brandy which both play nicely with some of the tropical esters in the rum. The touches of lemon and blank vermouth brighten the drink without overpowering the pear flavor and the bitters add a touch of herbal spice 1.5 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Diplomatico Planas, Plantation 3 Star, etc) .5 oz Pear Brandy (St George makes a fantastic version) ~.66 oz Bartlett Pear Juice (can use blender/strainer or motorized juicer) ~.33 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .25 oz Blanc/Bianco Vermouth (Dolin or Carpano) .25 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2:1) 2 dashes Crude Rizzo Bitters (Rosemary, Grapefruit, Pink Peppercorn) Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes.
