She Bangs The Drums

A dry, yet boldly flavored Arnold Palmer with stonefruit inspired Sour riff The flavors of stone fruit (pluot, sweeter plum, peach all would work) pair nicely with the soothing bergamot/citrus/honey flavors from the black tea liqueur/Bergamot bitters, lemon, and honey syrup. The botanical notes in the gin serve as a nice complement and the Malort adds notes of chamomile and a touch of bittersweetness that works well with the tannins in the tea to dry things out a bit. A delicious warm evening/afternoon drink or punch! Muddle 3-4 slices of stonefruit of choice (Flavor Queen pluot pictured) in .25 oz Honey Syrup (equal parts honey and warm water) Add: 1.5 oz Gin (bottle like St George Botanivore, Four Pillars, Plymouth that pairs well with citrus is optimal) .5 oz Malort (Bittersweet, yet floral Swedish-inspired aperitif; Few, Letherbee; don’t use Jeppson’s) .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice Scant .5 oz Black Tea Liqueur (Bar Matt, could also use an Earl Grey syrup) Tsp Passionfruit Liqueur (can sub Passionfruit Syrup from Small Hand Foods) 1 dash Miracle Mile Bergamot Bitters Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a slice of stonefruit used in drink
