A Manhattan riff that plays around with many Scandinavian ingredients The prominent star anise flavor in this particular aquavit works really well with the spicy rye, dill syrup, and lemon-y sumac notes in the Moroccan bitters while the Three Pins liqueur brings subtle background notes of alpine herbs, chamomile, and cinnamon 1.5 oz Rye Whiskey (a spicier bottle like Rittenhouse works best) .5 oz Krogstad Aquavit (A Pacific NW-take on the traditional Scandinavian spirit with pronounced star anise notes) .5 oz Dill Syrup (1:1 granulated sugar:water, add 4-8 sprigs of fresh dill after taking off heat when near boiling and steep 5-10 minutes before straining) .25 oz Leopold Bros Three Pins Alpine Liqueur 1 dash Bitter Truth Moroccan Bitters 1 dash Aromatic Bitters (Abbott’s pictured) Stir with ice, strain into chilled coupe. No garnish
