Salty Duncan

A refreshing low ABV riff on a Salty Dog from Jim Kearns of NYC’s Slowly Shirley The citrusy, bitter Luxardo Bianco and Suze mesh very well with the grapefruit and lime while the Blanc vermouth and rich simple syrup balance the tartness 1.5 oz Luxardo Bitter Bianco (citrus-forward aperitivo that happens to be clear; similar to Campari in flavor) .5 oz Suze (French gentian root forward liqueur) .5 oz Blanc/bianco vermouth (Dolin is my favorite) 1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2 parts unrefined sugar: 1 part water) Pinch of salt Shake with ice, strain into Collins glass with a salted half rim and a few ice cubes. No garnish
