A refreshing, bittersweet low ABV riff on the Aperol Spritz with notes of citrus and cranberry 🍹🔴 The bittersweet Aperol provides notes of orange and grapefruit pith that combine with the floral and berry notes in the Elderflower liqueur and citrus zest notes in the Rosolio and the zippy acidity of the fresh lime juice to form a base with flavors of Cranberries and citrus that is very refreshing. The addition of Sparkling Elderberry tonic adds effervescence and helps lengthen the drink 2 oz Aperol (Italian aperitivo that is lower alcohol and less bitter than Campari) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice Scant .5 oz Elderflower Liqueur (St Germain) .25 oz Rosolio (clear, bittersweet Italian aperitivo with notes of bergamot) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice cubes. Top with 2 oz Elderberry sparkling water/tonic (Juice Shop, Fever Tree both make nice options). No garnish (though an orange twist could work well if handy)
