Quarantine Order

A strong, yet refreshing riff on Tiki classics like the Jet Pilot and Zombie from San Francisco’s Pagan Idol that packs plenty of fruit and baking spice along with its punch 🏝🍹🗿 The funky tropical fruit aroma and caramelized sugar/molasses notes from the blend of Jamaican runs works beautifully with the tart fresh grapefruit and lime juice and the spice notes in the cinnamon syrup and Angostura bitters. The addition of the sweet/tart passionfruit adds depth and the mint bouquet adds a pleasant aroma 3 oz Blended Aged Jamaican Rum (I like an equal mix of Appleton Signature and either Worthy Park 10 year or Rum-Bar Jamaican Gold) 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice 1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice .5 oz Cinnamon Bark Syrup (crush 3-5 cinnamon sticks in a pan and toast 1-2 minutes until fragrant; add 1/2 C each granulated sugar and water; stir until sugar has dissolved and mixture is near boil; turn heat down to low and simmer 5 minutes before straining) .5 oz Passionfruit Liqueur (Giffard; Small Hand Food Syrup also works) 5 dashes Angostura Bitters Shake with ice and strain into a chilled footed pilsner glass with crushed ice.
