A Whiskey highball/buck variation with summer stonefruit and some ginger bite The ginger, honey syrup, and cinnamon notes in the bitters complement the juicy sweetness of the ripe nectarine while the pecan and vanilla notes in the wheated bourbon also work with the flavors while giving some oomph and the lemon/Club Soda lengthen the drink/add carbonation Muddle 3 slices of ripe yellow nectarine in .25 oz Honey Syrup (2:1) Add: 1.5 oz Wheated Bourbon (Rebel Yell, Bernheim, Smooth Ambler Big Level, etc) .5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .25 oz Ginger Syrup (1 part ginger juice: 2 parts granulated sugar) .25 oz Cocchi Americano (French white wine-based aperitif with some spice notes and a hint of bitterness) 1 dash Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled Collins glass with a few ice cubes. Top with 1.5 oz Club Soda. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint
