A spiced Old Fashioned riff from LA’s Devon Tarby that shows a few tweaks to the classic formula can greatly enhance the flavor 🍊🍫🌶 The Ramazzotti is a relatively mild Italian amaro that has notes of orange peel and subtle spice/sarsaparilla notes that work really well with the spiced Mexican chocolate flavors in the bitters to enhance/complement the oak and cinnamon notes in the bourbon 2 oz Bourbon (Higher Proof or single barrel expressions are better for stirred drinks) .5 oz Ramazzotti (Italian amaro with orange peel and spice notes, along with a subtle hint of root beer) 1 tsp Rich Simple Syrup (2:1) 2 dashes Chocolate Mole Bitters (Bittermens, Scrappy’s, Miracle Mile, etc) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with an orange twist
