Pizzicato Passage

A Low ABV Old Fashioned riff from excellent Seattle bartender Anu Apte-Elford that has very pleasing aromatic notes and bit of spice The dry, nutty Amontillado sherry works very nicely with the bittersweet, Cola notes in the Amaro to give a complex, round flavor while the small amount of gin contributes juniper and other botanical accents and the Ancho chile liqueur adds a spicy kick to each sip (low ABV, huge flavor!) 1 oz Amontillado Sherry (Bodegas Yuste, Lustau, Hidalgo all work nicely) 1 oz Amaro Meletti (mildly bittersweet Italian amaro with cola notes) .5 oz Gin (London Dry style like Beefeater or Tanqueray works well) .5 oz Ancho Reyes Ancho Chile Liqueur Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with candied ginger on a pick
