Pixee Pecala

A delicious Manhattan riff from the fine folks at Death & Co NYC that is like spending an afternoon in a Mexican market 🥭 🌶 🇲🇽 The smoke and citrus notes in the mezcal (from a high-elevation desert tropical village) works really well with the ripe mango notes in the eau de vie and hit of Ancho chile spice from the liqueur. The vermouth adds some notes of cocoa and vanilla while the bit of Aperol acts in place of bitters and also adds a hint of juiciness 1.5 oz Mezcal (Del Maguey Chichicapa is the best option here, but another variety with good amount of smoke balanced with citrus/stone fruit notes could sub) .5 oz Mango Eau de Vie (Rhine Hall makes a fantastic product) .5 oz Ancho Chile Liqueur (Ancho Reyes) .5 oz Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi Vermouth di Torino is a good call) 1/2 Tsp Aperol (Italian aperitivo that has a juicy bittersweetness) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a lemon twist
