Pick Up Your Feelings

A bright, refreshing Tiki sour riff brimming with berries, herbs, and spices 🍹🫐🏔
The rosemary and other herbal notes in the Terroir gin combines with the softer juniper notes in the Old Tom gin to create a base that pairs nicely with the bright citrus flavors of the fresh grapefruit and yuzu. Muddled blackberry provides a tart, deep flavor while the Cinnamon syrup combines with the ginger and allspice notes (liqueur and Jamaican Bitters) to provide spice notes that work with the splash of Alpine liqueur to unify all of the flavors. A delicious winter sipper!
Muddle 3 fresh blackberries in .25 oz Ginger Liqueur (Giffard or King’s Ginger)
Add:
1.5 oz St George Terroir Gin (An excellent gin infused with local Bay Area botanicals and with a noticeable rosemary note)
.5 oz Old Tom Gin (older style that is slightly softer and sweeter than London Dry Gin; Hayman’s and Scofflaw are good options)
1 oz Donn’s Mix #1 (2 parts fresh grapefruit juice to 1 part cinnamon bark syrup)
Scant .5 oz Fresh Yuzu Juice (Japanese citrus that is like a cross between lime, bergamot, and Meyer Lemon with very bright aroma)
Barspoon Fresh Lime Juice
.25 oz Leopold Brothers Three Pins Alpine Liqueur (notes of cinnamon, black pepper, mountain flowers)
1 dash Bittercube Jamaican Bitters #1 (Ginger, allspice, black pepper)
Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a grapefruit twist surrounding a blackberry
