A delicious, funky daiquiri variation that shines a light on the delicious Haitian sugarcane spirit, Clairin
The sugarcane sweetness and buttery, grassy funkiness of the clairin are rounded out with the blended rum and taken in a tropical direction by liqueurs from two Haitian fruit exports (bananas and coconut) while the lime brings needed acidity to balance the drink
1.5 oz Clairin (Haitian sugarcane rum made in most villages; flavor/aromas vary depending on location, Sajous is probably the easiest for mixing; unaged agricole is closest sub, but I encourage you to try this excellent spirit)
.5 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Plantation 3 Star, El Dorado 3 yr, Cana Brava, etc)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.25 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard)
.25 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani)
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish
