On Christmas Island

A bright, bold punch that is my favorite every year on Lost Lake’s holiday menu with flavors reminiscent of a tropical gingerbread cookie 🏝🦜🗿🎅🏼 The blend of rums contribute notes of caramelized sugar, molasses, coffee, and tropical fruits that provide an ideal platform for the sweet/tart notes of the passionfruit and bright lemon juice and the bold spice notes of ginger, allspice, and vanilla. An absolute delight! 1 oz Blended Aged Rum (El Dorado 8 year is great here) .5 oz Overproof Pot Still Jamaican Rum (Smith & Cross) .5 oz Overproof Dark Rum (Plantation OFTD) .75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice .5 oz Passionfruit Liqueur (Giffard; syrup from Small Hand Foods also works nicely) .25 oz Ginger Syrup (juice one hand of ginger and measure; add 2 volumes granulated sugar to 1 volume of fresh ginger juice and blend until dissolved) .25 oz Allspice Liqueur (St Elizabeth or Degroff Pimento) .25 oz Vanilla liqueur or syrup (Licor 43 if the former) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Tiki mug with crushed ice. Garnish with a swizzle stick PS: I’m fully aware that I used an Easter Island inspired mug for a drink with Christmas Island in the name #weekendtiki
