My version of Alembic’s spiced Old Fashioned riff The baking spice and pear notes in the liqueur mingle harmoniously with the oak and barrel spice notes in the bourbon while cocoa, coffee, and bitter flavors add interesting accents. The bitters add a subtle spicy finish 2 oz Bourbon (Higher Proof, Bonded bottle would be best) .25 oz St George Spiced Pear Liqueur .25 oz Amaro Lucano (Bittersweet Southern Italian Amaro) Barspoon Coffee Liqueur (St George NOLA is my favorite) Barspoon Creme de Cacao (Tempus Fugit makes my favorite) 2 dashes Spice-forward Bitters (Miracle Mile Chocolate Chili, Bitter End Jamaican Jerk, etc) Stir with ice and strain into chilled double rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a lemon twist
