Slightly early for Negroni week (Jun 04-10), a Rum Negroni variation with some tropical accents and aromas The oak, vanilla, and sherry notes in the Aged Rum are complemented by the cocoa and spice notes in the vermouth and the Coconut Liqueur while the bittersweet Campari lightens the drink and gives nuance and the bit of funky Overproof Jamaican rum lends aromas of banana and pineapple along with some oomph .75 oz Blended Aged Rum (the sherry notes in the Foursquare Premise are very nice, but Angostura 1919, Ron Zacapa, or Santa Teresa should sub nicely) .25 oz Overproof Jamaican Rum (Smith & Cross is best) 1 oz Sweet Vermouth (fruity notes in Cocchi Vermouth di Turino work nice with this one; imagine .75 oz of more vanilla forward Carpano would also be nice) .75 oz Aperitivo of choice (Campari/Leopold/St George) .25 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani) Stir with ice, strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with an orange twist
