A decadent, slightly tropical Manhattan variation adapted from the current menu at NYC’s always excellent Death & Co that is perfect way to cap the evening The aged tequila provides a rich, smooth base that has notes of oak, cinnamon, and butterscotch that are complemented by the roasted pineapple notes in the rum, the cola and orange zest notes in the Amaro, and the chocolate/spice notes in the bitters 1.5 oz Anejo or nice Reposado Tequila (bottle pictured is 10th anniversary blend of several aged tequilas from Siembra Azul/Valles) .5 oz Plantation Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum .5 oz Blanc/Bianco Vermouth (Dolin, Carpano) .25 oz Ramazzotti (Milanese Amaro with notes of cola/chocolate/orange peel and bittersweet finish) 2 dashes Chocolate Mole Bitters (Bittermens, Scrappy’s, etc) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish
