A subtly tropical riff on the low ABV classic Bamboo from Brooklyn’s Dan Greenbaum that still packs full flavor The dry, nutty Amontillado Sherry and the cocoa/spice/dark fruit notes of the Sweet Vermouth are nicely complementary while the banana liqueur adds some nice tropical fruit accents and the orange twist provides a subtle hint of juiciness. A great nightcap drink 1.5 oz Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi Torino has a nice flavor balance) 1.5 oz Amontillado Sherry (Hidalgo, Lustau, Bodegas Yuste all make nice bottles) .5 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard, Tempus Fugit) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
