Near Mint

A rich, bittersweet Rum Manhattan riff inspired by Thin Mints that is meant to pair with its namesake cookies 🥃🍪
The combination of blended aged rum and dark Jamaican rum provides a nice decadent base that helps highlight both the chocolate/cocoa notes in the bittersweet Amaro and the splash of Creme de Cacao as well as the mint and herbal notes in the Green Chartreuse and Creme de Menthe. The bittersweet finish from the Nardini helps prevent the drink balanced and helps it pair with the cookies. A delicious sipper!
1 oz Blended Aged Rum (A bottle with richer brown sugar and vanilla notes like Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is a good choice)
.75 oz Dark Jamaican Rum (Coruba is always a good choice; Myers works in a pinch)
.25 oz Green Chartreuse (unique liqueur with lots of herbal notes that works well with both mint and chocolate notes)
.5 oz Sweet Vermouth (Carpano Antica or Cocchi Vermouth di Torino are both good choices for their cocoa notes)
.5 oz Amaro Nardini (medium bittersweet Italian Amaro with notes of milk chocolate and menthol)
Tsp Creme de Menthe (Tempus Fugi or Giffard; try to avoid the bright green stuff)
1/2 Tsp Creme de Cacao (Tempus Fugit)
Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish. Pair with a few Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies
