A funky, yet refreshing tropical Daiquiri riff with notes of banana and cinnamon 🏝🗿🍌 The molasses, vanilla, and ripe tropical fruit notes in the blend of rums are accented terrifically by the flavors of roasted banana from the liqueur and the cinnamon and clove notes in the aged cachaca. The lime brings needed acidity to balance the drink and the Tiki bitters boost the notes of cinnamon and adds a hint of ginger 1 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Plantation 3 Star, Cana Brava, Foursquare’s Probitas is an excellent choice with its blend of pot and column still rums) .5 oz Blended Aged Jamaican Rum (Appleton Reserve, Worthy Park 10, etc) .5 oz Aged Cachaca (Avua Amburana is excellent, Novo Fogo aged options also work) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .25 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard or Tempus Fugit) .25 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2 volumes unrefined sugar of choice: 1 volume water; stir until dissolved) 2 dashes Bittermens Elemakule Tiki Bitters (cinnamon and ginger notes) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
