Little Saint Nog

A rich, delicious egg nog variation from Lost Lake in Chicago
The coffee and spice notes in the Overproof Rum work really well with the cinnamon, cold brew, and clove-heavy bitters while the cognac and vanilla-forward Guetamalan rum work with the cream and egg to provide a nice, rich base
1 oz Overproof Dark Rum (Plantation OFTD works great in this role)
.5 oz Cognac (VSOP or grande reserve)
.5 oz Ron Zacapa (Guetamalan Rum Aged Solera-style for 23 years)
.5 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2:1)
.25 oz Cinnamon Syrup
Fat .25 oz Cold Brew Coffee
.75 oz Heavy Cream
1 dash Bitter Truth Jerry Thomas’ Own Decanter Bitters
1 whole egg
Dry shake (with no ice) for 15 seconds; add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into chilled mug or double rocks glass. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg
