Let Me Clear My Throat

A tropical, funky riff on the Tiki classic Tradewinds crossed with a mango lassi 🥭 🏝🍹
The blend of unaged cachaca and overproof Jamaican rum creates a base with notes of ripe tropical fruits and citrus zest that is further augmented by the muddled mango and fresh lime juice. The mango Eau de vie boosts the mango notes while the rich coconut creme smooths out the edges while adding tropical flavor. Ancho chile liqueur adds a hint of complementary spice while a splash of peach liqueur and dashes of lime and cardamom bitters boost the stonefruit, citrus, and spice notes in the drink. Incredibly delicious!
Muddle 4-5 small cubes of ripe mango in .5 oz of Ancho Chile Liqueur (Ancho Reyes)
Add:
1 oz Unaged Cachaca (Avua Prata, Novo Fogo Silver, etc)
.5 oz Overproof Jamaican Rum (Hampden Overproof, Rum Fire, Smith & Cross, etc)
.5 oz Mango Eau de Vie (Rhine Hall makes an excellent bottle)
1.5 oz Coconut Creme (mix equal volumes of unsweetened coconut milk and 2 parts sugar:1 part water simple syrup and a pinch of salt; stir until uniform)
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.25 oz Peach Liqueur (Giffard)
1 dash Scrappy’s Lime Bitters
1 dash Scrappy’s Cardamom Bitters
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with a cocktail umbrella
