Kind of A Big Deal

Hybrid daiquiri/sour recipe taking advantage of the blueberry's natural flavor pairing with lemon and bourbon
Inspired by trying to recreate a drink from PCH's recent menu (Extra Fancy) and realizing that their blueberry component was likely something other than a syrup (initial try was too sweet). Adding a bit of lemon juice brought things back in balance and resulted in a tasty drink on its own
2 oz wheat-based bourbon (Rebel Yell, Bernheim, etc)
.5 oz Blueberry Syrup (steep blueberries in 1:1 Simple Syrup during prep, let simmer an additional 5 minutes before straining out)
.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.25 oz Creme Yvette (classic French liqueur with berry notes)
.25 oz Orgeat
2 dashes Bitter Truth Creole/Peychaud's Bitters
Shake with ice, strain into glass with a few ice cubes. No garnish
