A layered, flavorful daiquiri riff that has notes of coconut, nuts, and spice
The malty notes of the genever-style gin works very well with the dry, nutty amontillado sherry and the tropical sweetness of the coconut while the lime adds needed acidity and the habanero adds a small kick at the finish
1.5 oz Genever Gin (Bols, Old Duff, etc; a maltier style of gin in the Dutch style that predates the more common London Dry)
.5 oz Amontillado Sherry (Dry, nutty sherry)
.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.25 oz Coconut Liqueur (Kalani)
.25 oz Simple Syrup (1:1)
2 dashes Habanero Bitters (Bittermens, Scrappy’s Firewater, etc)
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish
