It’s Going Down

A Daiquiri/Sour riff inspired by the flavors in a passionfruit and currant kettle sour (Unsinkable Tartanic from Bare Bottle) The sweet/tart note of the passionfruit works well with the dark fruit flavors of the currant-based cassis while tropical fruit and grassy funk of the rum and agricole rhum provide complementary base flavors. The Campari adds a touch of bitterness and the lime brightens and lightens the drink 1.5 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Plantation 3 Star, El Dorado 3, etc) .5 oz Unaged Agricole Rhum (Rhum JM, Neisson, La Favorite, etc) .75 oz Fresh Lime Juice .25 oz Campari (or other red, bittersweet Aperitivo of choice) .25 oz Creme de Cassis (currant-based liqueur from France) .25 oz Passionfruit Syrup (Small Hand Foods) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with an orange twist
