A bright, spiced tropical Gin drink that is one of the classics from outstanding Chicago tiki bar Lost Lake šš¦š¹ The combination of the clove and lime zest-forward Falernum, the allspice liqueur, the orange zest notes of the curaƧao, and the honey syrup creates a spiced, nuanced sweetness that works very nicely with the juniper and other botanicals in the gin while the hefty amount of lime adds some citrus zip that balances the drink while the bitters boost the clove and allspice notes
2 oz Gin (London dry style like Beefeater is great, but feel free to blend different guns to bring in additional flavors/aromas of interest)
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
.5 oz Falernum (John D Taylor, etc)
.5 oz Orange CuraƧao (Pierre Ferrand Dry is my favorite)
.5 oz Honey Syrup (equal volumes of honey and warm water; stir until dissolved)
.25 oz Allspice Liqueur
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Shake with ice and strain into a footed pilsner glass or Tiki mug filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a swizzle stick
