Hazy Lazy, Like, Even More Crazy

A refreshing tropical beer cocktail/highball riff on Lost Lake’s own delicious Hazy Lazy, Like, Kinda Crazy with peach, mango, vanilla, and ginger notes 🍑🥭🍹 The oak, vanilla, and baking spice notes in the bourbon provide a flavorful backdrop that allows the ripe mango notes from the eau de vie, the peach notes of the kettle sour, and the bite of the ginger syrup to shine. The vanilla liqueur boosts the vanilla notes, the Angostura bitters add some clove and allspice notes and the lemon adds brightness and acidity. Delicious on a sunny weekend afternoon
1.5 oz Bourbon (vanilla-forward option like Elijah Craig is a nice option)
.5 oz Mango Eau de Vie (Lost Lake uses mango purée, 2 oz bourbon, no beer; Rhine Hall makes a spectacular Mango Eau de Vie; highly recommend if you can track down a bottle)
.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz Vanilla Liqueur or Syrup (Licor 43 or Giffard for former)
.25 oz Ginger Syrup (Juice 1 whole knob of ginger and measure volume. Add 2 volumes granulated sugar and blend until sugar is dissolved)
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice cubes. Top with 1.5 oz of fruit forward kettle sour (beer pictured is a peach kettle sour conditioned on bourbon barrel oak chips from Barebottle). Garnish with a swizzle stick
