Groundskeeper Willie

A Hanky Panky variation with blended scotch subbed in for the gin The notes of vanilla and baking spices from the scotch are complemented nicely by the vermouth. Meanwhile, the Fernet provides some hints of chocolate and bitterness at the edges 2 oz Blended Scotch (Compass Box Great King St Artist Blend works best, due to flavor profile) 1 oz Sweet Vermouth (feel free to split between two, the vanilla notes in Carpano work really well with the scotch though) .25 oz Fernet (Branca is easiest to find, but Contratto is my favorite) Stir with ice, strain into chilled coupe. Garnish with an orange twist
