Grand Budapest Hotel

Rum-based Manhattan variation with spiced orange and chocolate accents
After noticing that the combination of Zwack and Grand Marnier had a caramelized sugar with orange zest flavor, I thought these could work well with the molasses and vanilla notes in aged rum. Adding a trace of lemon juice brightens up the edges
2 oz Aged Rum (El Dorado 12 year is fantastic in stirred drinks)
.5 oz Zwack Unicum (Hungarian Amaro)
.5 oz Grand Marnier
1 barspoon (~1/2 tsp) Fresh Lemon Juice
2 dashes chocolate/mole bitters (Bittermens Xocalatl Mole, Miracle Mile Chocolate Chili, etc)
Stir with ice, strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with an orange twist
