Godzilla vs Barkley

A Manhattan variation with a split Japanese and American whisk(e)y base and some unexpected accents The nutty notes in the sherry (and slight hint of roasted pecan in the Old Grand-dad) pair very well with the hint of banana and the chocolate mole bitters add a nice hint of richness and spice 1.5 oz Cask-strength Japanese Whisky (shoutout to a good friend for some Nikka from the Barrel as a gift from his Japan trip!) .5 oz Bourbon (Old Grand-dad 114 gives oomph and a bit of nuttiness, but imagine others work) .5 oz Oloroso or Medium Sherry .25 oz Banana Liqueur (Giffard) 2 dashes Chocolate Bitters (Bittermens, Bitter Truth, Scrappy’s etc) Stir with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
