Fritz’s Negroni

A rich, comforting Negroni riff built to highlight the Winter holiday flavors of Anchor Christmas and the pine and juniper-forward St George Terroir Gin 🌲⚓️🥃 The juniper and pine notes in the Terroir gin work nicely with the juicy, bittersweet notes in the aperitivos while the baking spice and roasted malt notes in the Anchor Christmas reduction/syrup work really well with the cocoa notes in the sweet vermouth. The vanilla notes in the Cappelletti help bridge the flavors between the gin and vermouth/Anchor syrup while the dash of chocolate mole bitters boost the cocoa and spice notes and the orange twist adds a pleasant citrus aroma 1 oz Gin (London Dry would work nicely; if you have St George Terroir, it is an excellent choice here) .5 oz Campari .5 oz Cappelletti Aperitivo (bittersweet aperitivo similar to Campari but with a bit more funk and a nice vanilla note) .5 oz Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi di Torino has nice cocoa and spice notes for this drink) .5 oz Anchor Christmas Reduction/Syrup (reduce 1/2 C Anchor Christmas on medium low heat by about half volume; add 1/4 C unrefined sugar of choice and stir until dissolved) 1 dash Bittermens Chocolate Mole Bitters Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with an orange twist #makeolafsxmasgreatagain
