Floppy Disk

A low ABV cocktail pairing refreshing, in season citrus with hints of bitterness and smoke from Jenner Cormier of Nova Scotia’s Bar Kismet
The grapefruit juice is a great vehicle to marry more complex notes of bitterness from the Cynar and smoke from the mezcal with its juicy, refreshing flavor. The addition of club soda lightens the drink and brings effervescence while the curaçao brings a subtle, orange-forward sweetness
2 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice (Ruby Red or Oro Blanco, though may want an additional barspoon of simple syrup if going with the more tart white grapefruit)
.5 oz Cynar
.5 oz Dry Orange Curaçao (Pierre Ferrand is best in my experience)
.25 oz Mezcal (Del Maguey Vida or similar works great, but feel free to play with other favorites)
Shake with ice, strain into chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Top with 2 oz Club Soda. Garnish with a grapefruit twist
