Fantastic Damage

A delicious bittersweet cocktail that sits somewhere at the intersection between a Manhattan, Negroni, and iced coffee 🍒☕️ The botanical and citrus notes in the gin work really well with the dry, funky cherry notes in the cherry eau de vie (Kirschwasser). Meanwhile, the Amaro brings bittersweet flavor with notes of fivespice and black pepper. The splashes of coffee liqueur and sweet vermouth fortify the bittersweet notes and round out the flavors while the bitters boost the cherry and coffee notes 1.5 oz Gin (Want a bottle with bold botanicals, yet still citrus friendly like Monkey 47 or Four Pillars) .5 oz Cherry Eau de Vie/Kirschwasser (Clear Creek, Rhine Hall, etc) .5 oz Amaro (BarMatt Equatorial Amaro is optimal; could also approach the flavors by using something like Amaro Lucano + Fivespice bitters) .25 oz Coffee Liqueur (St George NOLA, Mr Black, etc) Tsp Sweet Vermouth (Cocchi di Torino, Carpano) 1 dash Cocoa and Coffee Bitters (Crude Big Bear) 1 dash Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla Bitters Stir with ice and strain into a chilled double rocks glass with a few ice cubes. Garnish with an orange twist
