Ex-Parrot

A refreshing, tropical daiquiri/beer cocktail riff inspired by a really nice beer, a certain smoothie chain’s Caribbean Passion flavor, and Monty Python 🦜 The blended lightly aged rum and Haitian clairin (basically an unaged sugarcane rum with really cool terroir influence) provide a base with notes of molasses and sugarcane funk along with some nice tropical fruit aromas that are matched by the sweet/tart flavors of the passionfruit, peach, and strawberry liqueurs. The tropical passionfruit, orange, and guava notes in the sour beer boost these flavors even more while also adding effervescence and working with the lime juice to bring acidity. Guaranteed to end any pining for the fjords 1.5 oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum (Plantation 3 Star, El Dorado 3 yr, etc) .5 oz Clairin (Clairin Sajous here; a nice unaged agricole or some Jamaican overproof rum would be interesting subs) .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice .25 oz Passionfruit Liqueur (Giffard) Tsp Peach Liqueur (Giffard) Tsp Strawberry Liqueur (Giffard) Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Collins glass with ice cubes. Top with 1.5 oz Passionfruit/Orange/Guava sour beer (Temescal’s Parrot Vibes pictured, but feel free to use something tasty with similar flavor profile available near you). Garnish with a swizzle stick
