Electric Relaxation

An elegant, yet fully flavored Daiquiri/Sour riff that highlights the delicious floral sweetness of ripe pears 🍐
The caraway, anise and oak notes in the aged aquavit and the floral and fruit notes of the Bolivian brandy work really nice with the pear flavor (from both the muddled Bartlett and the Eau de vie). The vanilla and clove notes from the liqueurs and the rosemary and pink peppercorn notes from the bitters complement these flavors while the lemon juice gives the drink some zip and adds a refreshing finish to each sip. A delicious drink that pairs (pardon the pun) well with food
Muddle 3-4 slices of Bartlett pear in .25 oz Vanilla Liqueur (Giffard or Licor 43)
Add:
1 oz Aged Aquavit (Linie is the best choice here)
.5 oz Bolivian Brandy (floral brandy that is similar to Pisco; which is probably the closest sub)
.5 oz Pear Brandy/Eau de Vie (St George makes the best, but Clear Creek also makes a nice bottle)
.75 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
.25 oz Falernum (Rum-based liqueur from Barbados with clove and lime zest)
1 dash Crude Rizzo Bitters (rosemary, grapefruit zest, pink peppercorn)
Shake with ice and double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a slice of pear
